Salma Mumin sues Xandy Kamel, Angel TV; Demands 1Million Ghana Cedis In Damages


Ghanaian actress Salma Mumin has sued actress turned television presenter Xandy Kamel and her employers, Angel Broadcasting Network (ABN) for defamation.

According to a writ of summons chanced on by, Salma Mumin is demanding that a defamatory comment made about her on a program Yeenom Tea on or around the 13th of March 2021 which aired on Angel TV be retracted.

The actress among other demands prays the court to place an order of perpetual injunction restraining the media outfit from publishing the same or similar defamatory statements about her.

She also requests the courts to order the defendants to publish an unqualified apology in the dailies and on their platform, Angel TV and remove from its archives be it electronic or whatever the said defamatory statements.

Above all, the plaintiff, Salma Mumin prays the court rewards her One million Ghana cedis in damages.
