Schools reopen in Ghana despite growing concerns of a Covid-19 outbreak


Students in the Republic of Ghana, a West African country will return to school this month.

The news of their return was announced the President of Ghana. H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo during his 21st National address on Sunday, January 3, 2020.

According to H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, children from Kindergarten, primary and Junior High School, in both private and public schools will be back in school.

All SHS 1will start classes from 10th March, with all students embarking on a single-track academic calendar. SHS 2 and 3 will, however, return to school from January 18.

Aside from this, the President announced his government will absorb electricity and water bills for 1 million Ghanaians from January till March 2021.
