KNUST Ranked Number 1 In The World In Terms Of Quality Education

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), has been ranked the best University in the World for the provision of Quality Education (SDG 4).

This was contained in the 2023 Times Higher Education Impact Ranking published on Thursday, 1. June 2023.

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi led the global table with a score of 93.1 in terms of quality education.

The Institution beat 1303 out of the 1304 universities that fell within this category in the World.

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, thus, becomes the No.1 destination for quality education globally. The SDG 4 – Quality Education category measures universities’ contribution to early years and lifelong learning, research, and their commitment to inclusive education.

This year, 1,304 universities from 109 countries/regions participated in the SDG 4 category.

Management has since the publication of the ranking expressed profound gratitude to the diligent staff and students, invaluable partners, and esteemed stakeholders for their immense contributions leading to this remarkable milestone.

The Times Higher Education Impact Rankings are the only global performance tables that assess universities against the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). THE uses carefully calibrated indicators to provide comprehensive and balanced comparisons across four broad areas: research, stewardship, outreach, and teaching.

The 2023 Impact Rankings is the fifth edition, and the overall ranking includes 1,591 universities from 112 countries/regions.
