Boxer Isaac Dogbey has not switched nationality from Ghana to the UK.
Contrary to reports that run wild early in the day suggesting that the boxer had switched nationalities, the management of the former WBO junior-featherweight title holder has in a statement denied the reports labelling them as falsehood.
Parts of the statement read;
“It has come to the attention of Team Dogboe that a news item is peddling falsehood as to Isaac Dogboe’s nationality.
He has and will always fight for Ghana and has not issued any communication or granted any interview on a nationality switch. Kindly disregard any such information.”
The boxer who is readying for a bout at the Grand Casino Hinckley, Minnesota, the USA on Saturday 23rd July 2022, laughed off the reports in a Twitter post saying,
“The name Isaac DOGBOE in Ghana media spreads like an INFECTIOUS DISEASE, Like a VIRUS! It’s Normal. Get Use To It!”
