Ghana Premier League top scorer Yaw Annor joins Egyptian side Ismaily SC

Ghanaian footballer Yaw Annor has joined Epytian side Ismaily SC.

Engineer Yahya El-Komy, Chairman of the Ismaili Board of Directors has succeeded in obtaining the signature of Ghanaian star Yaw Anor from Ashanti Gold in the Ghana Premier League with a long-term contract that lasts for the next five seasons.

The Ismaili president was keen to take over the transfer file of the player who is the top scorer in the Ghanaian league, as he addressed his club, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Egyptian embassy in Ghana after paying all the special dues for his transfer to the ranks of the Dervishes in complete secrecy, in light of the trust placed in the current technical staff and the players to get out of that stumble In the local competition and as part of the preparation program for the new season competitions. 

For his part, Engineer Yahya El-Koumi confirmed that the policy of the new contract file includes a set of conditions and requirements to ensure the achievement of the expected technical addition and work clearly to develop the team’s capabilities for the better.

The player signed at the club’s headquarters on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, and is expected to contribute to the development of the offensive side of the team due to his ability to play in more than one position, whether the winger or the outright striker.

It is worth noting that the 24-year-old Ghanaian star participated in 30 matches this season, scored 22 goals, and was crowned the top scorer and best player in the Ghanaian league.
