“Games wide open” or as the host said, “Ouvrons grand les Jeux.” The official motto rang true as the much-anticipated Summer Olympics commenced.
The opening ceremony on the night of 26th July 2024 marked the beginning of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. It was held along the Seine River, the first time in the history of the Summer Olympic Games that the ceremony takes place outside a stadium.
Despite the rain, the ceremony proceeded with unbridled enthusiasm and splendor.
